It’s amazing how many love Ron Paul’s message of freedom around the world. America is not just a past dream. It’s Constitution has thrilled people worldwide. Ron Paul didn’t write the Constitution, he’s the defender of it.
Our friends in Europe have heard and they support his message even though they cannot participate here. Just take a look at how this message has taken hold.

Thought you might be interested in what we are planning in Europe to show support for Ron Paul. Here is our organizing flyer:
Strasbourg Tea Party
15-16 December 2007
Ben Novak
Co-Founder of Americans in Europe for Ron Paul Meetup Group–Bratislava
Bratislava 03.12.07. There are only 12 days until our meeting in Strasbourg to celebrate the “Strasbourg Tea Party,” which will be held in front of the European Parliament on Sunday, 16 December. Our goal is simple: to show support for Ron Paul, the 72-year-old candidate for the US presidency who is sparking enthusiasm all across Europe and America. This event will be historic because it is the:
first international event organized to show support for Ron Paul;
first opportunity for Europeans to help Ron Paul’s US election campaign by showing the enthusiasm he inspires in Europe;
first flowering of the democratic upsurge in Europe inspired by Ron Paul;
first internet-spawned political event of the 21st century; and the
first of many such events that will follow in the rest of the world.
All of these guarantee the “Strasbourg Tea Party” a lasting place in history.
But for the movement to grow, the really important part will occur in the meeting rooms and coffee houses on Saturday, 15 December, because on this day will occur the:
first real chance to meet each other;
first face-to face meetings of European Ron Paul supporters;
first conference to plan, network, and organize; and the
first opportunity to make the Ron Paul movement a permanent part of European and world politics.
The theme of the weekend is threefold: Networking, networking, and networking. This means talking with each other, making friends, learning to work and plan together, and making connections. Of all the things to come out of this weekend, the most important is: Our freedom and our future depend on not being alone.
So, the watchwords for the meeting are:
Get ready to meet as many people as possible;
Make as many friends as possible;
Network and connect as much as possible; and
Organize for the future as much as possible.
Members, and perhaps even media, will be filming and photographing all of our activities so that we can show the world our support for Ron Paul. Please remember to always create a good impression.
History of this Event
The “Strasbourg Tea Party” is the brainchild of Fabio Bossi of Munich, who last August founded the Ron Paul Meetup Group in Munich, and also started a great blog-site in English called Europe for Ron Paul at: http://europe4ronpaul.blogspot.com. I am not sure, but I think Fabio also created another blog-site in German called Bavaria for Ron Paul, at http://bavaria-for-ron-paul.blogspot.com.
Fabio was quick to contact me and the Americans in Europe for Ron Paul Meetup Group—Bratislava (which I co-founded in July with Allan Stevo, Matej Svec, and Maros Sokol), after Fabio had seen my letter supporting Ron Paul that John Derbyshire published on National Review Online at http://corner.nationalreview.com/post/?q=Y2YyYjg2YzliMTQ2NTJjNjMyMzAwNWExZTlmMzI1ODI=
Fabio insisted in emails that we needed a Europe-wide meeting of Ron Paul supporters. I was at first reluctant. The logistics of planning such a meeting seemed overwhelming. But Fabio insisted, “Just do it.”
“Where,” I asked.
“It doesn’t matter,” replied Fabio.
“I like the food of Alsace,” I said.
“Okay, that’s it—Strasbourg. Let’s do a demonstration in front of the European Parliament.”
“When?” I asked.
“Pick a date,” says Fabio.
I clicked “calendar” on my computer, checked the last day of classes for the course I am teaching at Comenius University, then I talked to Allan Stevo, who said, “How about the weekend of 15-16 December?” We got back to Fabio, who said,
“Done,”.
So we wrote an email calling for a meeting in Strasbourg and sent it out to our mailing lists. Before the internet impulses even arrived at their destinations, however, Fabio had already prepared a poster for the “Strasbourg Tea Party,” which you all have seen. And the date just happens to coincide with the historical “Boston Tea Party,” which Fabio made our theme. ( God! Fabio has a quick mind!)
That’s how the “Strasburg Tea Party” was launched, and soon the call and Fabio’s poster were appearing on web- and blog-sites all across the continent. Eric Wolfe interviewed us on a video, and Dan Lichtenberg made another video stating our purposes. These videos were posted on You Tube and a multitude of websites.
Soon we received emails from all over Europe, and the Srrasbourg Tea Party was on!
Organization for the Event
The most truthful statement is: There isn’t any, but Allan Stevo is working around the clock to try to develop some. He has reserved 15 sleeping rooms and one conference room (seats 30) at the Auberge de Jeunesse (Youth Hostel) Parc du Rhyn, located on Rue des Cavaliers, Strasbourg 67000—right beside the zoo. This is a very modern and great place (I’ve stayed there before). Allan is also trying to reserve another larger conference room somewhere else in Strasbourg.
The Bratislava group will arrive Friday afternoon in order to start planning. If anyone else comes in on Friday, join us for the arrival festivities.
Saturday will begin with a sign-in beginning about 0830, and a meeting beginning about 0900 or 0930. The morning agenda is to encourage everyone to stand up and say what he or she is doing, and wants to do for Ron Paul. This is get-acquainted time.
In the afternoon, let’s try to organize and plan, both for Sunday’s “Tea Party” and for future activities.
As for lunch, we will try to go out or order baguettes brought in. Saturday evening we should find places to have dinner together and then party.
Sunday morning, we will meet for breakfast wherever we can, and then get busy setting up for the “Tea Party.” For those not leaving till Monday, we hope to meet for dinner late Sunday afternoon and a few beers to unwind.
We have no idea how many are coming, although we have word of busloads coming from Salzburg and Munich, reps from Vienna, and word from the English. It will be a swell party no matter how many come.
Central Organizing Point and Conference Location
The central organizing point and initial conference location will be at the:
Auberge de Jeunesse (Youth Hostel) Parc du Rhin
Rue des Cavaliers
Strasbourg 67000.
It is right beside the zoo.

Things to Do
Permission for the Assembly at the European Parliament. Although we have written several emails to names given to us, we have received no replies about getting permission for the Sunday “Tea Party.” Therefore we still do not have any official permission for this event. Does anyone know anyone in Strasbourg to help us? Or is there any French speaker who can find the names and addresses of the proper authorities? I assume we will need some kind of authorization or permission to meet.
Heating Tea. Our plan is to have a European tea party for Ron Paul in front of the Parliament Building, which means serving tea. We need: tea cups, tea pots, spoons, sugar, sweeteners, honey, lemons, mill, napkins, and—most of all—heaters to heat the water on. Where do we get the water? Can anyone help in figuring the logistics of serving tea?
Maps, etc. We still have not located any supporters or contacts in Strasbourg. So, we can’t do most of the things we need to do till we get there on Friday, 14 Dec.
Posters, Signs, and Literature. Fabio says he has three large signs on cloth to put on buildings or between poles. We need much more: blue, white and red Ron Paul Revolution signs, posters, bumper stickers, buttons, and name tags; and literature to hand out. Does anyone know how to get this?
Media. We need to inform the media, and keep them informed. If we have only a few attend, it is still an event worth covering. If we have many, we must let the media know in order to be there for pictures and story. A good number will encourage Ron Paul supporters in the US, and link us into the “Boston Tea Party” theme across the US for Ron Paul.
Cameras, Videos, Computer Graphics and all that. A team is coming from Salzburg with lots of camera equipment. Everyone should bring his or her laptop to make CDs and DVDs.
If you have any ideas or supporting materials of any kind to make this weekend a success for Ron Paul, please bring them and let us know.
I recommend that every Paulite sign up for Google Talk, so that we can talk to each other for free over the internet, and that we also sign up for SKYPE, which is better for calls to other continents.
Philosophy of the “Strasbourg Tea Party” Weekend
There is so much we have either forgotten or not planned for that this would be a logistical nightmare if central planners were in charge. In fact, if everything had to be planned, it would never happen. But since this is organized on the basis of Ron Paul, Freedom, and Personal Responsibility (i.e., simply not organized at all), it should come off like a charm. Our goal is to show that Freedom works.
Reasons to Support Ron Paul
There are as many reasons to support Ron Paul as there are people supporting him. This is because Ron Paul stands for:
Freedom and personal responsibility;
Respecting the individual;
Less power for governments to interfere in our lives;
More power for people to run their own lives;
No more wars to deliver “freedom” at the point of a gun;
Respecting every nation’s sovereignty and integrity;
The rule of law and respect for the decent opinions of mankind;
Individual enterprise and private initiatives instead of government programs;
Freedom of speech, research, writing, and publication;
Honoring our Founding Fathers and Mothers, our cultures, and our ancestors;
Ron Paul makes us proud to be human beings instead of units in centralized, bureaucratic programs of control.
Ron Paul is the most honest, courageous, and straight-talking politician to appear in this century. He is the first to really believe in people instead of governments, programs, and ideologies. He stands for what we feel in our hearts.
He deserves our support. In Strasbourg on 15-16 December, let’s show the world we stand with Ron Paul.

But I do. I’m sorry that I didnt hear about it earlier.
I think as long as we still have the right to speak,
the right our grandfathers died for, we should
speak up. I think we are obliged to.
